Romme Alpin (23.2.)

With some friends I tried yet another time to make the best of that hilarious winter and go skiing. Although my hopes that there could be real snow 3 hours north of Stockholm were disappointed, at least the sun stayed with us and so we spent a nice day with artificial snow and sun in the skiing resort Romme Alpin near Borlänge.

All good things come in threes...

...which is why I moved again - moved to my third flat in Stockholm within 6 months! :-) I'm kind of getting used to and starting to like it. New places, new people, new living conditions every time. From today, I'm living even further north of Stockholm City, in a suburb (and municipality) called Täby. It's said to be one of the richer and more secure ones (which might explain why you can also find Stockholm's biggest shopping centre (Täby Centrum) and Sweden's largest horseracing track (Täby Galopp) here. Furthermore, I'm neither living in a detached house nor in a students room anymore, but sharing a 2-room-flat on the 9th floor of a biiiig tower block of slightly futuristic shape (handiwork of the Swedish planners and architects of the 60s) with Ann, a really nice Swedish woman. Big windows and great view from the balcony!
Fortunately, Annika (who has a car) and Maria helped me moving all my stuff today which I wouldn't have managed without their support! After the physical strains we indulged ourselves to a little housewarming with nice dinner (including pancakes and ice cream as desert!) and a movie. The least I could do!

Oslo (8.-10.2.)
